A necessary addition to your emergency disaster supplies. AquaPail is the world’s ONLY Gravity-Fed Emergency Water Filter with “END OF LIFE” testing!! This means that the DuraFlo™ Water Filter used in the AquaPail has been tested and certified by top U.S. independent laboratories to establish the water filter’s “End of Life”, or its actual usage capacity. AquaPail filters do exactly what they say they can do at verified amounts without guessing, false claims, or exaggerated quantities without proof.
Aquapails come in 3 sizes:
Small – 1,100 Gallons = Equivalent of 1 persons total water needs for 1 year
Medium -3,300 Gallons = Equivalent to 3 persons total water needs for 1 year
Large – 5,500 Gallons = Equivalent to 5 persons total water needs for 1 year
The Standard in Water Filtration
Most water filtration systems remove only some of the many dangerous elements from your drinking water, the AquaPail™ Water Filtration System will remove or deactivate virtually all harmful substances from any non-salt water source. Within a matter of minutes, the AquaPail™ water filter deactivate toxic bacteria, viruses, cysts, (such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia), and remove heavy metals. The Duraflo proprietary filtration method literally deactivates and removes waterborne microbes from even the most contaminated water source. Prefilter the contaminant particles out as much as possible first, then the AquaPail™ water filter will continue to remove hydrocarbons, fluoride, chlorine and other harmful substances. The water filter is certified to filter out 99.99% of viruses for up to 550 gallons; and safely filter out 99.9999% bacteria and 99.99% of giardia and cryptosporidium for up to 700 gallons from highly contaminated water. This provides clean, purified drinking water for yourself and whoever else you can help. U.S. Independent Lab Certified to Establish “End of Life”
- Perfect for emergency preparedness, outdoor activities and humanitarian aid.
- Needs only gravity for the water to flow through the filter and easily dispense through the spout.
- Plenty of purified water on hand for daily drinking for health reasons, or for emergency preparation when you need it.
- The AquaPail™ Water Filters are perfect for emergency preparedness, camping, boating, hunting and all outdoor activities.
AquaPail Assembly and Directions:
Your AquaPail Kit will come with 2 Pails, 1 Red Lid and 1 Blue Lid, a Hand Pump, and Replacement Filters (Number of filters will vary depending on AquaPail model size.)
Step 1) Remove hand pump and all replacement filters from pail, leaving just the attached filter in place.
Step 2) Twist the blue lid onto the top of the empty pail. This will be your clean water receptor. Place the pail with the filter on top of that, making sure that the Filter nipple nestles into the hole in the blue lid securely.
Step 3) Remove the red lid (this can be placed under the bottom pail for extra stability) and pour pre-filtered (see below) contaminated water into the filter pail.
MAKE SURE NO UNFILTERED WATER SPILLS OVER THE SIDE, AS THIS COULD CONTAMINATE THE WATER BELOW. In a few minutes clean water should be freely flowing into the bottom pail.
For you convenience we have included a quick start hand pump. Attach the clear tubing and pump to the filter nipple on the bottom of the pail. Be sure that the pump has the printed arrows on its side pointing away from the filter (See Image #4) and toward the pump in your hand. Start pumping. This will prime the new filter and draw the dirty water through the new filter, down through the tubing and toward the pump. This will speed up the priming process for new filters, allowing water to flow freely almost immediately. Once the water is coming through the filter and into the tube, the tube and pump can be quickly removed and you can catch the cleaned water in the blue lidded pail or in another clean water container.
Care and Maintenance of Your AquaPail Water Filtration System
To replace filters: Remove the washers from the filter inside and outside of the pail. Remove the filter and discard. Get your replacement filter and set it up exactly as it was before you removed the original filter by attaching the new silicon washers inside and outside the pail, and secure with the provided wingnut.
Pre-Filter Your Water. WARNING! You must, pre-filter your water to remove dirt, sediment and debris before pouring the water to be filtered into the AquaPail™. Failure to do so will greatly reduce the filter’s capacity. To pre-filter the water, use any cloth or water filtration screen. Cleaning the Filtration Components. Rinse all components in clean, filtered water. Allow all of the components to air dry if possible. Rinse the filter and store in a sealed plastic bag until such time as you can allow it to air dry. This will keep your other materials and supplies from getting wet as the water gradually drains from the filter.
WARNING: DO NOT RUB, SCRUB OR POWER SPRAY THE OUTSIDE OF THE FILTER. DOING SO WILL DAMAGE THE FILTER MEDIA AND MAKE IT INEFFECTIVE IN REMOVING MICROORGANISMS FROM THE WATER!
Discarding the Filter. After use, the DuraFlo™ Filter may be discarded into any conventional waste disposal system.
DuraFlo™ Filter Information
The DuraFlo™ Filter is rated to deliver up to 550 gallons of clean, SafeWater. The DuraFlo™ filter used in the AquaPail
Water Filtration System has undergone rigorous microorganism testing by an independent water testing laboratory which is accredited with the EPA, FDA and is ISO/IEC certified. The filter was continuously challenged with Microorganism contaminants according to established EPA Guidelines, at regular 25 gallon intervals to determine the “End of its Useful Life”. The DuraFlo™ Filter Technology:
The DuraFlo™ filter’s Captivator Adsorbtion Media™ (CAM) filtration technology, combines media science with the most advanced filtration materials available today. The unique filter design and manufacturing method used create a multifaceted water filtration system. The process incorporates an electro-positive charge which attracts and pulls particles as small as viruses out of the water while still maintaining high flow. This breakthrough technology has been thoroughly tested and proven effective by independent water laboratories to consistently remove bacteria, virus, cryptosporidium, giardia and over 118 harmful chemicals from water using this remarkable method.
Once the contaminants are adsorbed onto the CAM they are permanently retained. If the filter is back-washed or agitated in water, the debris coming off the filter are particles greater than one micron which were mechanically removed by the media, not electrically adsorbed. The electro-adsorbed contaminants cannot be removed through any simple cleaning process. Trying to do so can damage the media and diminish efficiency. The DuraFlo™ filter is specifically designed as a dead-end, replaceable filter for the reduction of the broadest possible range of contaminants. For best results, it should be discarded when excessive pressure is needed to obtain filtered water and the flow rate of the water is slow. This means the filter has done its job to provide you with safe and pure water and it is now time for a new filter. The DuraFlo™ filter is rated for up to 550 gallons.
WHEN WATER IS NO LONGER ABLE TO FLOW THROUGH THE FILTER, IT IS TIME TO CHANGE IT.
